Good things happen with informed consumers, empowered employees, and educated voters.
(Not for lousy leaders, of course, but for everyone else.)
Informed consumers make better choices.
Empowered employees contribute to a positive work environment.
Educated voters strengthen democracy.
These actions benefit society as a whole.
Some profit from uninformed consumers, disempowered employees, and uneducated voters. They do not strengthen democracy or benefit society.
They tend to have a barrel-chested strut and are quick to share their opinions and grievances with great volume and frequency.
The informed, empowered, and educated have grown immune to the tiresome gesticulations.
That causes lousy leaders to panic, and it is glorious.
