Day 2: Set Leadership Goals
Identify 2-3 short-term leadership goals and one long-term goal that aligns with your vision.
Why It’s Important:
Goals provide structure and direction, turning your vision into actionable steps. Setting specific short-term and long-term goals creates a path to measuring progress, building momentum, and staying accountable. This practice boosts your confidence and competence as you see tangible results from your efforts.
How to Complete the Action:
Align with Your Vision: Review your leadership vision from Day 1. Ensure your goals support this vision.
Use a SMMART+ Framework: Make sure each goal is Specific, Measurable, Motivating, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound, and Positive.
Short-term Goals: These could be skills you want to develop, habits you want to form, or immediate changes you want to implement in your leadership style (e.g., “Improve team meeting efficiency within the next month”).
Long-Term Goal: This should be more ambitious and aligned with your vision (e.g., “Develop a high-performing team that consistently exceeds targets within the next year”).
Write Them Down: Document your goals and set reminders to review them weekly or monthly to track progress.
