Day 19: Focus on Accountability
Review your personal accountability. Are you following through on your commitments as a leader?
Why It’s Important:
Personal accountability is taking responsibility for your actions, decisions, and commitments. When leaders hold themselves accountable, they set a strong example for their team. Reviewing your accountability helps you stay aligned with your goals and leadership values.
How to Complete the Action:
Reflect on Your Commitments: Review your recent commitments for 10-15 minutes. Are there tasks, projects, or promises you haven’t fully followed through on?
Assess Your Consistency: Consider whether you hold yourself to the same standards you expect from others. Are you meeting deadlines, being transparent, and delivering on your promises?
Identify Gaps and Take Action: If there are areas where you’ve fallen short, create a plan to address them. This could involve communicating with stakeholders, adjusting priorities, or setting clearer boundaries.
Set Accountability Goals: Choose one area to focus on improving this week (e.g., responding to emails promptly, meeting deadlines, or following up on team progress).
Monitor and Adjust: Track your accountability over the next few days and adjust your actions to ensure you lead by example.
